
Terms & Conditions of CH Enterprise
By using this site you agree to these terms of use and to be legally bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not wish to be bound by these terms and conditions then you may not use or access our website or place orders. These terms relate to sales over the Internet only and CH-Enterprise Ltd. Separate terms and conditions apply to purchases made by any other means. The contract made by you on-line with us incorporates these terms and conditions, which shall prevail over any and all terms and conditions, proposed by you. You should not proceed with your purchase until you have read and agreed to these terms and conditions. Product Specifications
1. All our oak furniture is made from quality natural wood and accordingly appearances may vary. Certain degrees of filler will be used on oak furniture this is common and very much part of the manufacturing process. 1.2 The majority of our Oak products are sold fully assembled, however on occasions certain pieces will need minimal assembly, this has been deemed fit to protect the item in carriage. Other larger items like wardrobes and showers are not built to allow access to the property.
2. Orders totalling less than 30kg may be dispatched by post or courier. 2.1 Delivery is only available on a midweek day from 9am - 6pm. Larger items will arrive on a pallet to further protect the goods and will be delivered by a pallet truck as near to your door as possible. With heavy items you may need help to bring your purchase indoors as the driver is only responsible for delivering the pallet as near to your door as possible. 2.2 If you are unable, for whatever reason to take delivery of your goods on the pre-arranged delivery day and we have already dispatched your goods, or we are unable to deliver the goods due to there being no safe means of access to the place of delivery we shall be entitled to cancel your order and refund your payments less an aborted delivery fee of £40.00 levied by our carriers, the return charge of £40.00 per item or £60.00 for multiple items will also be applicable if the items are returned. If you wish to return an item for any none damaged or fault reason where a change of mind applies we will refund the item minus the outbound delivery fee and apply a charge for the return fee. 2.3 The return charge mentioned will be applicable immediately after the items have left our warehouse, i.e. if the order is cancelled after we have despatched the item but before delivery to the final destination, the return charge levied by our carriers will still be applicable. 2.4 If our carriers accidentally damage goods in the course of delivery our liability for that damage is limited to the repair, replacement or refund of the goods or the value thereof. 2.5 Time of delivery is not of the essence in these terms and conditions. We will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through any reasonable delay or delay due to unforeseen circumstances outside of the reasonable control of CH Enterprise or any reasonable rescheduling of delivery.
3. Guarantees and Claims under Guarantee With our oak furniture on rare occasions due to extreme climate changes in shipping you may find slight swelling on doors or drawers thus making them stiff to open, it is important not to return or refuse the item if this is case. Usually this problem will rectify itself in a matter of days once the timbers adjust to their new environment, alternatively you may find simply swapping drawers will remedy this. On rare occasions the movement may not settle and you may need to sand or shave a small amount from a drawer or door, please shave from the bottom of the drawer front or the side of a door as this will not be noticeable with regards to the look of the furniture. A simple touch of Danish oil will then protect the adjustment made. Please could we ask you to bear in mind that you are purchasing these natural products with slight timber movements a rare possibility. Therefore stiff drawers or doors will not be deemed as defective or faulty and any necessary simple adjustments needed would be need to be undertaken by the customer. If you wish not to undertake any adjustments needed we will of course offer a refund under our full 7 day money back offer. 3.1 Please avoid aerosol furniture polishes such as (Mr Sheen) etc, this will dry out the timbers. Simply buff with a dry lint free cloth for best results. For your furniture to stay in its best condition it will require treating approx every 3 months with Danish oil, this is inexpensive and available from any good DIY store. We recommend you treat your furniture immediately on delivery as your item may have been in transit for some time, failure to treat oak items as instructed could result in drying and cracking. 3.2 Our bathroom ranges are all covered by a 1 year parts and components warranty with us. In the unlikely event of any problem developing, parts and simple replacement instructions will be sent out free of charge. All parts in bathroom ranges have been designed to be easily replaced. 3.3 We will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss of profits or other financial loss or damage arising out of defective, damaged or wrongly delivered products over and above the value of the goods themselves. This does not affect your statutory rights. 3.4 Any claims for damage will require photographic evidence to enable the pursuance of a claim.
